Information on Infertility and How to Get Pregnant

Unplanned Pregnancy

An unplanned pregnancy – it has different effects not only on women but on the family members as well… and in the end it depends on what the rest of the situation is like.

Sometimes a surprise pregnancy can actually be a happy event and couples could even celebrate it. However, in many times, it can cause a lot of turmoil for the parents to be, as well as other immediate members of the family.

There are various reasons why unplanned pregnancy can happen. A pregnancy that isn’t expected can happen even with so many birth control methods available today and sometimes it doesn’t matter how faithfully you follow the instructions :)

Sometimes accidents just happen, and suddenly you have an unplanned pregnancy to deal with.

The only question is: How you and your partner handle it! That is something that will need to be seriously decided y both of you.

Apparently, married couples, or couples who have made a commitment to each other, usually deal with a surprise pregnancy in a different manner than a single woman.

Does it really matter if you don’t have enough money? Or… Your career will have to be put on hold for a little while?

The truth is, for most couples, if you waited until you were TRULY ready to have a baby, you would probably never get pregnant.

Just think about this:

  • The money will be there for the new baby because it will have to be
  • Your career will still be waiting for you once you are ready to return to it

And in the end you could be surprised for good, how this unplanned pregnancy turned into a joyous event in your life and you even will wonder why you ever worried.

It’s little bit different with single women. They obviously have a bit more to think about if they suddenly find themselves pregnant.

Too many variables in this situation:

  • Will you have the support, emotional and financial, of the father?
  • Will he want to be a part of the child’s life?
  • Just how much of this will you have to go through all alone?
  • Who will look after the baby when you return to work?

Once again too many decisions to make!

If you decide to have the baby and keep it, you will want to spend the months before the birth getting your ducks in a row.

It’s always helpful to remember that accidents just happen… It’s much better to prepare ahead of time… this can prevent unnecessary stress once your surprise bundle of joy has arrived.

However, it happens that even with preparation a mother can’t support the baby for some reason. In a such case Adoption is the best and less painful option for the baby that comes from a surprise pregnancy.

Adoption usually is chosen by single women, however, there are many married women who choose this option as well.

Abortion is the other and the less acceptable option. Unfortunately, there is really nothing else to do once you are pregnant. In some stage of the process you have to choose on of the following:

  • Have the baby and keep it
  • Have the baby and allow a family to adopt,
  • Or… Not follow through with the pregnancy

Keep in mind that once you are past a certain point in the pregnancy, abortion is no longer an option.

How you look at an unplanned pregnancy depends on you… on how you view it:

  1. It can be one of a blessing or
  2. It can be a curse of course

It really doesn’t matter whatever the circumstances are and how should you be faced with this situation… The only thing that really matters is, you should decide very quickly what road you will be traveling.
